Quantum Ghost Subtraction Cipher · notation

The operator

Subtraction as constructive optimization. Removal can upgrade a state. Information is not discarded — it is mapped through reversible form.

Symbol set

  • Ω

    Quantum subtraction operator

Drives a payload toward its minimal sufficient form while preserving the invariants of the layer it acts on. Fourier arithmetic: QFT† (U₋b (QFT |a⟩)) = |a − b⟩.

  • Φ

    Protected core

Ciphertext, entangled structure, verified code, or a prompt kernel. Integrity must not degrade. If a transform damages Φ, it is corruption, not subtraction.

  • Σ

    Structural overhead

Metadata, wrappers, protocol scaffolding, redundant headers, token noise. Not automatically bad — first target of analysis because it carries latency and token burden.

  • σ

    Necessary residue

The line between elegant compression and destructive loss. If Σ is reduced but σ is violated, the result is over-subtraction.

Operating expression

Ω = (U†U · S) / (Φ · e^(Σ − σ))

Governing metaphor with formal intent, not a finished physics law. Numerator: reversible validity through the unitary identity U†U = I. Denominator: pressure from excess structure relative to the minimum residue.

Interpretation rules

  • If a transform breaks reversibility where reversibility is required, it is not Ω.
  • If a transform damages Φ, it is not subtraction; it is corruption.
  • If Σ is reduced but σ is violated, the result is over-subtraction.
  • If Σ is reduced while Φ is preserved and σ is satisfied, the result is valid subtractive optimization.

Working definition

Quantum Ghost Subtraction Cipher defines subtraction as the disciplined reduction of structural overhead to expose a higher-efficiency, invariant-preserving computational form. On AIM, Ω names the operator, listed programs are the book, token meters are the tape, and the CU proving desk is where mint, burn, and create inference settle.

Balanced ternary

The operator is computed in trits, not bits. +1 keeps Φ, 0 zeros Σ, −1 inverts as Ω. MAC is add, subtract, or skip. That is the HyperLiquid CU path — 1.58-bit energy against a 16-bit bill.

  • 1

    Φ keep

Payload residue. Survives the fold. Bid side of the CLOB.

  • 0

    Σ rest

Filler and thick book. Skipped by the MAC. Subtractive rest on the liquid desk.

  • T

    Ω invert

Structural drop. Cross signature of a fill (bid × ask = T). Ask side of the CLOB.
